I have too much yarn
I do have a lot of yarn. Like, a couple of years to use it up amount of yarn. I had a phase in my life where I probably had a shopping addiction. Probably from undiagnosed and unmedicated ADHD and buying new things was my way of chasing dopamine. Its been a couple of years since I last bought anything yarn or knitting/crochet related thankfully but now I have a bunch of mismatched balls of yarn and it stresses me out to think of how to make something from it that doesn't look like a clown barfed on it.
I've decided that I'm just gonna go for it. If it looks colorful and scrappy so be it. I'll just keep making blankets and garments and whatever because treating them as "special" just makes them get older and a waste of space and money. I want to beat the perfectionistic part of me too. My projects don't have to be Pinterest versions of aesthetic, just something I think looks good and something I enjoyed making.
This is my current project right now. It's gonna be a blanket. No specific pattern, just something I'm winging. I'll try to keep the colors more cohesive by only mixing purples and pinks and whites probably. Wish me luck. So far, I'm loving the process, can't wait to make progress with this.
